Our patent-pending technology, developed with the support of veterinary experts, allows us to identify abnormal symptoms in pets using smartphones. As a Mobile Developer Intern at WoafMeow, you will gain hands-on experience in developing innovative mobile applications that enhance the health and wellbeing of pets. You will work alongside our talented team of engineers and developers, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of our React Native application. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills in a real-world setting, while also learning from industry experts and making a meaningful impact on pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobile App Development: Assist in the development and enhancement of our mobile application using React, TailwindCSS, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, product managers, and designers to understand project requirements and contribute to the implementation of new features.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Testing and Debugging: Participate in the testing and debugging of the application, identifying and resolving issues to improve performance and reliability.
- Learning and Growth: Take advantage of learning opportunities, including code reviews, pair programming, and mentorship from experienced team members.
- Documentation: Assist in the documentation of development processes, code changes, and project updates.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with React and TailwindCSS.
Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and related frameworks/libraries. - Project Experience:
- Previous experience with web/mobile app projects, either through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through technical challenges.
- Communication: Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for Technology and Pets: A genuine interest in mobile development and a passion for improving pet care through technology.
Additional Information
Location: This internship position is remote
Duration: The internship duration is flexible, with a minimum commitment of 3 months – 6 months.
Time: 15-20 hours per week
